WEST RETURNS
Oct. 21st, 2010 12:43 pm[Inmate Filter; MINUS: known snitches, like Judas and Sylar, non-humans (vampires, Borg Queen and aliens). AND VICTOR LOL. Basically a Manly Poker Filter + ladies. If you're not sure, ask me!]
[At first, West sounds mildly amused.] It seems the wardens have stopped going to any lengths whatsoever to mask their hypocrisy these days. When I first arrived, there was still an attempt, at least, to react to incendiary statements made by wardens and those made by inmates in much the same way. And now? Observe:

[Inmate Filter]
[There's silence as West tries to form a sentence. When he speaks, his voice is very tight and clipped.]
...
Do you all enjoy living like animals?
[He lets out a breath, about to say something else, THEN TURNS OFF THE COMMUNICATOR IN DISGUST.]
[OOC: AND HERE'S WEST'S RESPONSE TO THE SHOWER MESS. I may be slow tagging tonight, as I think I'm sick. So IDK why I posted. But I did. So suck it.]

136 - LOOK WHO LIVES
Aug. 12th, 2010 11:02 pmI suppose turning off communications for a fortnight is as close as one can come to a holiday around here. I trust you'll forgive me for falling off the face of the, ah, Barge. After spending two years in this place, I felt a break was long overdue.
Anyway, it appears I've missed some departures, as well as new arrivals. Since introductions are in order, I'll begin: I'm Major Henry West. Welcome to the Barge. You've been promised salvation, no doubt, or perhaps a favour from the Admiral. I could tell you myself what to expect, but I'm sure you'll find out well enough on your own. We're about overdue for another crisis, after all.
[OOC: LOL I KNOW THIS IS BAD FORM, but I'm going to bed. Tags will be returned uh. When I can get to them.]

[Annnnd on the screen appears a very posh, British Dr. Horrible. Wearing camo.]
I don't know why I'm even bothering to ask, since you lot weren't particularly helpful before, but I would like to know something:
Why are there no less than three men with my face? [Pause, he sees a Claude post.] Ah. Four. And why, when I look in the mirror, do I see this? [He gives the camera a very pointed look.] Is it drugs? A new... experimental vaccination for the Infection? What sort of place is this?
And please: don't answer with "the Barge."

123 - Update: West still hates wardens.
Feb. 9th, 2010 09:51 amWe have Wardens talking about a lockdown. We have Wardens complaining about it being too excessive and taking a public stance against it. So, which is it? Would it kill you lot to send ONE CLEAR, CONSISTENT MESSAGE, for once?
It's absolutely pathetic. Honestly, I don't even care either way if there's a lockdown; I'd just rather know what I'm meant to do before I get tossed in Zero for "disobedience," or some such nonsense.
Oh, and thank you for washing the corridor with blood. It reeks now.

Oh, and thank you for washing the corridor with blood. It reeks now.
I've been here for nearly two years now, and while others may have seen results, I have not. It's become clear to me that no matter what course I'd have taken, the end result would have been the same: they live. My men and I die. Perhaps, if I had been a better man-- by whatever metric you wardens measure it by-- I'd have had no second chance at all. My death would have brought peace, a darkness, whatever it is those who do not end up on the Barge receive... and nothing more.
In light of that, I must admit that I've even less reason to repent. I'm quite attached to consciousness, to simply being and feeling alive, even if it's in death here.
Survival is all that matters.

118 - Major BITCHFACE
Jan. 6th, 2010 04:54 pmThe kitchen's in a sorry state. Whatever happened to discipline? Pride in your surroundings? This is an absolute disgrace. I expect the entire dinner shift to be in early, so that we can put everything back in working order.
I need a drink. Tonight. I do not care with whom.
[OOC: SO. Billy and West had a fight off-screen, mostly about the Marquis and each other's annoying habits. THIS RESULTS IN A BITCHY NITPICKY WEST (who, btw, is currently in charge of the dinner shift. HENCE THE DOUCHERY). So yeah, the kitchen's most likely NOT in a sorry state.]

I would like to propose a game: anybody who can go for an entire week without mentioning my name-- Oh, no, that's far too simple. Anybody who can go an entire week without even referencing me or my existence wins a sweetie. I know it must be difficult to refrain from harping on the same point repeatedly, as it's clearly provided enough fuel for over a fortnight of repetition, but do make an effort of it, would you.
Billy, you are exempt from this game.
[Private to Angel]
You are still in charge of Security, are you not? If so, I have a question for you: What sort of individuals-- that is, what sorts of qualities are your recruits supposed to display? And before you ask: no, I'm not looking to join your team.
[OOC: West is really tired of Rayne and of his name popping up in conjunction with hers. Hence, this post. SORRY, BERNARD, you weren't the cause of his bitchiness, just the catalyst for this post!]

097 - West? An opportunist? NAAAH.
Aug. 2nd, 2009 12:00 pm[Inmate Filter]
It seems this change in leadership has led to a great deal of anger and... flailing on the part of the Wardens. There even appears to be talk of abandoning us because they will not be receiving their rewards anymore.
What a noble bunch.
Still, I notice the rest of us have been, for the most part, rather silent about the affair. I should hope it's because we are thinking, rather than complacent. After all, there must be a way to turn this to our advantage-- ideally, if we are all together on whatever we decide.
[Public]
Given recent events, I'm not entirely certain what to make of this. Typically, a mutiny is something expected of, well, us.
I trust this will not trigger any negative memories for the others. If it does... I'm sorry.
[OOC: Yes, I'm trying to hasten him to his 100th entry :C And yes, he's probably going to pretend to be all BAWW TRAUMATIZED right now.]

With so much company here, it hardly feels like being locked up at all.
[Private to Bly; in slow and meticulous writing, as he's doing it with his uninjured hand]
For the record, I would not have attacked you, had your Inmate not targeted you himself, given me your room number, and told me you were armed. I have the correspondence to prove it.
I just want to see that justice is served to all parties involved, equally.
[OOC: Since he didn't get to shoot Logan... HE HAD TO FIND SOME WAY TO MAKE HIM SUFFER FOR THREATENING BILLY]

Jun. 30th, 2009 09:38 amCongratulations. You won. Here's to an eternity of the status quo.
[After a pause]
Billy... Please tell me you're alright.
[AND IN THE BACKGROUND YOU CAN HEAR RAYNE SHOUTING THE FOLLOWING]
JESUSFUCKINGCHRISTMONKEYBALLS! SOMEONE BETTER BE LETTING ME OUT OF HERE OR-
[OOC: Major McCrazyface is in Level 0 now with a bandaged, possibly broken hand, a STILL stitched up leg, and a frown :c I'm pretty sure Inmates can't initiate private filters, hence his having to ask about Billy in public. ANYWAY. Visit him if you'd like; just spam it in this post]

090 - RIOT TIME. [Voice]
Jun. 29th, 2009 05:16 pmI have an announcement for the Wardens aboard this vessel:
You are no different from us. You are not saints, you are not 'good people', and a great many of you aren't even qualified to look after a house plant, let alone a person. You are killers, thieves, lunatics, sociopaths, just like the rest of us. In fact, the only thing that separates you from the rest of us is opportunity. You had the opportunity to strike a bargain with the Admiral, the choice to come here, whereas ourselves, we had no trial, no chance to speak in our defence, just death followed by punishment.
The line between Warden and Inmate is nothing more than a fabrication, supported by force, firepower, and a set of keys. You've made it perfectly clear that you and yours have nothing to answer for, nobody to hold you accountable, while we have everything to answer for, everybody looking over our shoulders.
But not anymore.
Change has arrived to the Barge. Call it what you will: mutiny, rebellion, revolution, riot... We are now taking matters into our own hands and tearing down the unjust system you have supported through your service here.
We have your colleagues, and we are armed. All that we request of you, right now, is to listen to us, and this can all end peacefully. No bloodshed. I promise you. All we wish is to achieve equality and rid ourselves of the titles 'warden' and 'inmate'.
Surrender your Warden 'Items' and your weapons. Surrender our files. When we have taken that which grants you superiority over us, then we'll discuss things like civilised people.
Now, I'm certain there are those among you who think to take back the Barge by force, or perhaps hold the threat of a permanent death over our heads, but let me make something very clear to you:
Strike at us, and you will only be harming your friends. And for every Inmate you don't restore, we will hold you accountable-- and if not you, one of your colleagues.
Oh, and we've taken the food supplies, so please don't think that 'starving us out' is an option.
Come to the Dining Hall, with the requested items. And try to be reasonable.
[OOC: SORRY THAT TOOK SO LONG. Got caught in a thunderstorm. The riot log will be up momentarily! Feel free to bitch him out in the meantime; he may or may not respond]

087 - RAAAAGE AGAINST THE WARDENS
Jun. 22nd, 2009 11:47 am[INMATE FILTER - Retroactively kicked the following off the filter: Tobias, Topher, the Marquis, Lauren Reed, Sylar. Basically, you can assume that they can finish out their thread lines, but they can't read any of the actual plotting after they expressed disinterest/concern about the riot]
I think it's time to show the Wardens, quite explicitly, why some of us are here. If we take a united stand, there's little they can do. They can't haul all of us to Level 0, after all.
There's nothing stopping us from overpowering them. We have one Warden in the Infirmary right now, slashed up with a pair of scissors. Surely, we have other makeshift weapons on hand.
[Filtered to Rioters (basically, you're on the filter if you go "YES" in some way]
Right off, there are three things to target with the Wardens.
1) Weapons-- specifically, we need to learn which Wardens have access to firearms and work up a plan to take them for ourselves.
So far, we have: Morgan Adams, Sam Tyler, Kirk,Reid, Rayne (?), Reid's partner (female, 30s), Angel, Bly...?
Members of the security team should be prioritised, as well: Angel, Emily Prentiss, Rayne, Kathryn Janeway, Silhouette
2) Items-- As long as our Wardens have their items, they'll know where to find us. We must identify them, find them and take them.
3) Weaker Wardens-- We take them first, and we use them to make the stronger Wardens acquiesce.

086 - BITCHY INFIRMARY POST
Jun. 21st, 2009 10:20 pmThe Wardens are absolutely out of control. How on Earth do you justify ambushing an Inmate who has just been shot by another Warden? Do you think we Inmates will idly sit here while this flagrant abuse of your position continues?
Oh, who am I kidding? Of course we will.
Anyway, if anybody needs me, I'll be in the Infirmary getting the new hole in my leg stitched up. You can thank the Wardens for that one, too.
[OOC: Following this fight. West has been punched in the face several times, stabbed in the thigh, above the knee, and lightly slashed across his abdomen. He looks SO SEXY RIGHT NOW. And he brought it upon himself. ANYWAY, if you want to visit with him, just action spam the post.]

083 - The least dramatic return ever
May. 24th, 2009 01:05 pmHas Billy suffered from a massive stroke in my absence, or did we gain a second one?
[OOC: SO West came back, decided that life's too short (or afterlife or WHATEVER) because he went somewhere shitty during his absence, and decided to just man up and kiss Billy. After six+ months of sexual tension.
It turned out to be Barney.
WHOOPS. West's not happy]

Morgan,
I just wanted to tell you that I've had a change of heart. Stubborn as I know you think I am, I'm sure this will come as a great shock to you. So, here it is:
I'm not sorry he's gone. I'm quite happy he's gone. Perhaps now you'll understand what I've had to undergo on some scale. Take that feeling, and multiply it by every person you've ever cared for. Imagine that great a loss occurring over and over again as you try to do everything in your power to prevent it, until you're willing to do anything to keep from losing those few people you have left.
I hope Rube never comes back.
See you in the kitchen, bright and early!
Sincerely,
Major Henry West
[OOC: West's referring to his last post, where he told Morgan he's sorry that Rube's gone, then got butthurt and it all descended into a giant bitchfest]

The lengths people here will go to in order to coddle a bunch of fairy tale monsters while normal people are the ones who die every week is absolutely ridiculous. If caving in to a creature's demands-- an aggressive creature who preys on humans-- is all it took to keep the peace, then I now realise that I should have simply tossed a man over to the Infected every day back home. Things would have gone swimmingly then.
It would be much more sensible to lock the vampires up and let them starve, rather than attempt to turn this place into a floating blood bank to satisfy one person's endlessly reiterated fetish. If we come into blood later on down the line, their wardens can bring them back. Simple.
It'd be for the greater good.

062 - I feel pretty, oh so pretty!
Jan. 3rd, 2009 12:53 amOh, quit complaining, all of you. It'll be over in a few days, as it always is. Honestly, is this any worse than a standard flood? You only look different.
